My Journey into the World of eBay Sales

When I first heard about the world of eBay sales, I was intrigued.

With so many people selling their wares on this platform, I decided to give it a try and see if I could find success.

After a lot of research and trial and error, I eventually developed an understanding of the eBay marketplace and the strategies necessary to make a profit. In this blog, I'm going to share my journey into the world of eBay sales and the tips and tricks I picked up along the way. We all need a little help right?

I wanted to focus my first post on the story of how I began selling online, and how I hope to help you achieve the same dream.

How it started.

I had just finished my studies and was employed in the Human Resources department at a Construction Company. After a few months, I noticed it wasn't the ideal job for me. My cheerful nature and vivid blue hair weren't quite in line with the employer's expectations, regardless of my capabilities. Upon leaving the company, I was given a $5,000 severance check, but I had no savings to fall back on and I was still struggling with an immense amount of student loan debt.

I knew I had to figure out a way to make money. That’s when I thought of eBay. I had heard so many success stories from people who made money selling things online, so I figured why not give it a try? I started off selling some of my own personal items – from used clothes and accessories to my childhood toys.

Every time I had enough money to pay my bills, I chose to keep going. As a result, I was able to build a 6 figure business in just 3 years by selling objects found at garage sales and various household items. Later, I broadened my range of offerings to include an booth in any Antique Mall, as well as an Etsy store, Pinterest page, and our own e-commerce website. My motivation for spending time on multiple platforms? Multiple sources of income are key when you're running a self-employed enterprise!

It's clear you didn't come here for my story - you want to find out how to start selling on eBay from the comfort of your own home.

Unfortunately, there's an overwhelming amount of programs that promise you the world in a year, suggesting that drop-shipping from Amazon or China will make you a millionaire. The truth is, only 2% of those who purchase the classes or programs ever become successful and generate a sustainable income.

My intention is to support you throughout your entire journey. From signing up for your account to developing your initial listing and even shipping your first product, our mentoring program is here to ensure you're feeling comfortable and confident on the platform.

There’s no need to invest a large sum of money for beginning costs; you can start by simply selling products already in your house.

In addition to the consults & one-on-one coaching, we will be offering a straight forward curriculum covering the entire process. With my expertise mainly in the realm of Antiques & Collectibles and Home Goods, I will help you identify your passions and get started on your new adventure.

We've only just begun! Keep an eye out for further updates.

In the interim, what obstacle has been most challenging in your endeavor to start up an eBay business?
